Scenes of Florence
It has long been our ambition to visit Tuscany and wander around Florence but for various reasons we have put it off until recently. We spent 10 days soaking up the ambiance, the art and experiencing a surfeit of religious iconography! Strangely enough we were not that impressed with the food which was over priced in the restaurants although not in the markets so, perhaps, self-catering is the way to go. Except for Gelato! Anyway here are various views of the city in no particular order or significance. The last on the right third row down appears to be a street sign banning sumo wrestling…I have no explanation.
