You may not notice as it was abandoned in the late 14thCentury after a nasty outbreak of plague they think. There remains the church of St.Peter, that is,apparently, a Friendless Church. It is not a ruin as you might expect but was restored by anorganisation known as “The Friends of Friendless Churches” and if that doesn't bring a tear to youreye nothing will.Looking in the opposite direction there are mounds and undulations which are the remains of theoriginal village buildings.As a matter of interest there are estimated to be as many as 3,000 deserted medieval villages inEngland so if we came across any more...
