SMELL THAT? IT MUST BE BANBURY Take a look at the idyllic vista below. Sense the solitude, the quietude, the sheer relaxation of this remote   paradise.   Well,   actually   it's   Banbury,   on the    South    Oxford    Canal,    right    by    the    Douwe Egberts   coffee   processing   facility   and   not   far   from a   commercial   bakery. A   boater   remarked   to   me,   in passing,   that   the   combination   of   coffee   and   baking bread   smells   wafting   across   the   town   probably means   they   are   trying   to   sell   the   place.   But   the odour   of   coffee   permeates   Banbury   and   you   could go   there   as   a   confirmed   tea   drinker   and   leave   as   a hopeless coffee addict.
